Comment: The gatehouse staff are obviously from the cheapest agency. Always on their phones and always make you wait until whatever they're watching has finished.
The office staff are hit and miss. Some barely acknowledge that you exist, and others are friendly and polite. The waiting area is OK. There's a paper-cup vending machine selling over-priced paper-cup drinks of varying quality. There's also an over-priced snack and drink vending machine selling unhealthy snacks and energy drinks. There's also a water fountain so at least they've gotten that right.
There's plenty of comfy seats, some with a table between them. The toilets are downstairs and there's plenty of posters around instructing you how to use them. Unfortunately the warehouse staff, who also use these toilets, can't seem to read English, nor do they understand pictures. Make sure you wipe your boots before getting back in your cab if you do use the toilets.
This Waitrose site in my opinion is completely at odds with the other ones across the country.
