Comment: Booking in system was only working on one gate so had to queue for ages. Warehouse staff took ages to tip. Front desk guys are OK but the Dreebs working behind are clearly university graduates working as part of Tescos's DEI hiring process.
There's no water fountain, and the only drinks machine wasn't working. Only way to get a drink was from the vending machine, where all of it was (non)sugary rubbish.
Despite no way to get a decent drink they still wouldn't allow us to use their canteen. This is something where more drivers need to step up and talk to the health and safety officer as it is a legal requirement.
Comment: Easy to get to to and navigate once there, the booking-in system is smooth and pain free, most of the time your bay is assigned through this system, so no need to park up and interact with the office staff.
The bays are well lit and defined, most of them you can open your doors in front of the bay rather than blocking the yard. The waiting room is reasonable with large padded seats. There's a small table between each one which helps a lot. Vending machines are usually well stocked and reasonably priced, especially the Tesco branded sandwiches. The toilets are bright, clean, and well maintained.
As well as a vending machine for food there's also a vending machine for paper cup drinks, a water fountain, and a microwave.
You're expected to submit your keys while you're being tipped, and wait in the waiting room, but as with most of their RDCs as long as you keep a low profile no one notices or bothers you if you go back to your cab.
